What is Havening Touch?
Havening Touch® is a relatively new modality, that is based on the neuroscience of the brain. It was created by Dr. Ronald Ruden, who, after 10 years of research, ran his first training in 2015.
“The Havening Techniques® are powerful tools that can be used to treat the consequences of encoded traumatic or stressful memories.” – https://havening.org/
Havening uses touch, on the hands, arms or face, to create delta waves. Delta waves are long slow brain waves, much like the types of brain waves we have when we go into deep sleep. To learn more about delta waves, Havening and the neuroscience it is founded on, you will find some suggested links on this page.
Important note: Havening should never replace advice or treatment from a registered medical health physician. Please note the full disclaimer here.
Why is it called Havening?
Havening, is the transitive verb of the word haven, meaning to put into a safe place.
